Reading and Leeds Festival has long been a stand-out date in the UK’s festival calendar that signals the close of the summer season. This year’s instalment, that pairs the nostalgia of acts like Bloc Party and Limp Bizkit with modern stars including Chappell Roan and Travis Scott promises to be a big one, with revellers in both cities making the most of the August bank holiday weekend.

However, the long hours of dancing and partying can take a toll on the body, leaving many festival-goers feeling worse for wear in the following days, as they return home and try to adjust back into their usual routines. This year, to help ease those post-festival blues and offer the ultimate hangover cure, spa booking site SpaSeekers is offering free spa experiences to attendees of Reading & Leeds, in partnership with the Elevate Spa at voco Reading and the Spa Garden at Iveridge Hall, Leeds.

The Festival Recovery Package: Reading

Once they’ve packed up their tents, attendees of Reading Festival will be able to head to the Elevate Spa at voco Reading for three hours of welcome rejuvenation before heading back home. Festival-goers will be able to flit between the sauna and steam room, while cocooned in a comforting robe, or take a dip in the pool to help relax any aching muscles.

Most importantly however, is that each mini spa day will also include a luxury 25-minute treatment of the attendee’s choice; a neck and back massage, facial, foot recovery treatment or hand recovery treatment. All of the treatments feature soothing products from ishga, including exfoliating salt scrubs and nourishing seaweed wraps, perfectly suited to healing a hangover and curing sore, danced-out muscles.

The Festival Recovery Package: Leeds

For Leeds attendees, the Spa Garden at Iveridge Hall awaits, with their curated recovery hours offering 60 minutes of relaxation and rejuvenation at one of Leeds’ leading outdoor spas. Guests will be able to indulge in hot and cold contrast therapy to soothe their aching limbs with the Himalayan salt sauna and ice barrel experience, while those looking for a different experience can soak in the thermal spa pool, snuggle up by the outdoor fire pit or kick back in the relaxation lounge and aromatherapy steam cabin.

How can Reading & Leeds attendees get their free spa experience?

To kick start their post-festival recovery, all Reading or Leeds Festival ticket holders need to do is register their interest in attending the free spa sessions via the SpaSeekers website, with proof of festival attendance required to secure entry to the spa on Monday 25th August, the day following the festival.

The closing date for people to apply for the free spa day is 12pm on Friday 22nd August.

Jason Goldberg, Director at SpaSeekers, comments:

“After the fun and mayhem that comes with a festival weekend like Reading and Leeds, we know that many festival-goers require some serious rest and recovery before returning to the responsibilities and routines of everyday life. That’s why we’re pleased to launch these free festival recovery packages for those who’ve partied on the festival fields all weekend long.

Whether it’s spending some time soaking in a hot tub, sweating out the overindulgence in a sauna, or simply enjoying some much-needed peace and quiet, we hope these sessions offer people a gentle return to reality on the way home from the festival.”
