Turning Pasta into Purpose: Pasta Evangelists supports world hunger charity amid aid cuts
Action Against Hunger has welcomed support from a national food and restaurant brand in its fight against global hunger. A pilot partnership to raise urgently needed funds will kick off from today, in line with World Pasta Day 2025.
“With our partnership with Pasta Evangelists, we hope to highlight the urgently needed support from more British businesses in the fight against world hunger following continuous cuts to foreign aid,” says Will Morgan-Macleod, Director of Fundraising and Communications at Action Against Hunger UK. “In a world where 1 in 12 go to bed hungry every night globally, it is important that more brands join the fight against this global crisis and use their influence to champion our message.”
Global hunger is at crisis levels, with conflict, climate change, and economic instability driving millions into severe food insecurity, with 8% of the global population going hungry every day[1]. At the same time, funding for international aid is under increasing pressure, making the role of charities, NGOs and their partners more important than ever. By dedicating a donation for every sale of its best-selling Ragù alla Bolognese, Pasta Evangelists will help fund vital programmes delivered by Action Against Hunger, supporting families facing food and nutritional insecurity worldwide.
Kicking off the partnership from 20th to 26th October, the fresh pasta brand will donate £1 to Action Against Hunger UK* for every portion of its most popular dish (Ragù alla Bolognese) sold during this time across restaurants and national delivery. The campaign will run over World Pasta Day 2025, leveraging the cultural spotlight on the cuisine to highlight the issue of global hunger.
