NESPRESSO LAUNCHES QUIRKY FLAVOUR-COMBO COFFEE RECIPES

Brits may be creatures of habit in their daily routines, but when it comes to coffee, new rules are being written. Research from Nespresso, commissioned to celebrate flavour experimentation, finds that over two-thirds (68%) of Brits are exploring new flavours – with almost half (47%) seeing their daily coffee as an opportunity for creative experimentation.
To celebrate, fans can now enjoy bold new coffees for FREE in select Nespresso boutiques nationwide – with a different recipe dropping every fortnight. The new coffee flavours include a Pickled Coffee Cola and the ‘Love It or Hate It’ Latte, featuring Marmite and avocado.
The full list of flavour combinations on offer are:
Pickled Coffee Cola – a Nespresso Double Espresso Chiaro Vertuo pod brewed over ice and combined with diet cola and pickle brine. A coffee-based twist on the internet-breaking combo, already shared and recreated by millions around the world.
The ‘Love It or Hate It’ Latte – inspired by the eternal debate of Marmite, this drink features a Nespresso Melozio Vertuo pod blended with Marmite, topped with a smooth avocado foam, garnished with a comforting slice of buttered sourdough toast… Breakfast? Sorted!
Pineapple & Tajin Coffarita – a fiery and tropical coffee inspired by the vibrant heat of South America, this serve is made with a Nespresso Colombia Vertuo pod which delivers a particularly juicy, fruity cup
Rhubarb and Custard Crumbleccino – an indulgent Nespresso Sweet Vanilla Vertuo pod mixed with custard, topped with a rhubarb and beetroot foam for a nostalgic sweet treat.
The launch of the experimental recipes comes as Nespresso unveils Vertuo World, a global campaign led by new Global Brand Ambassador Dua Lipa, that celebrates exploration through coffee experiences. Each creation is paired perfectly with a Nespresso Vertuo coffee pod to show the endless serving possibilities that can be created at home with Nespresso’s new Vertuo Up coffee machine.
First in line for the new recipes is likely to be younger fans, who are leading this cultural shift, with over half of Gen Z (56%) enjoying unusual drink combinations and 62% seeing coffee as a space for creativity. Trend-led behaviour is also strongest among this group, with over half (55%) discovering trends before their friends, and almost two-thirds (59%) recreating viral or unusual recipes they’ve seen online.
The trend is even more pronounced in London, with the capital emerging as the UK’s most experimental region, as almost half of Londoners (49%) say they enjoy unique and unexpected drink combinations, as well as mixing ingredients that wouldn’t normally go together.
Coffee fans can enjoy the new recipes for FREE in select Nespresso boutiques nationwide – with a different recipe dropping every fortnight during daily tasting sessions from 2-4pm, until Sunday 14th June.
