This Sunday (19th), some of the capital’s best bars will be offering limited-edition Daiquiri menus in partnership with Ron Santiago de Cuba to celebrate Daiquiri Day. Each bar will feature twists on the classic cocktail imagined by top bartenders (available until the end of July), as well as giveaways, Cuban live music nights and unmissable entertainment, including:

Callooh Callay brings a Cuban Escape to London

Callooh Callay will be bringing its unmistakable charm and innovative take to Daiquiri Day through a limited-edition cocktail menu. Priced at £13, standouts include the deliciously rich and refreshing Frozen Guinness Rum Punch and the Dulce Oriente, a velvety and aromatic cocktail with an absinthe kick. Its Lounge, hidden at the back of the bar, will also be transformed into the ‘Cuban Escape’ for a month, inspired by the bold colours and energy of the streets of Havana.

Little Bat | 54 Islington Park St, London N1 1QL

Islington’s neighbourhood bar is bringing a Cuban twist to its cocktail list. Alongside its Dry Daiquiri, using Ron Santiago de Cuba™ Carta Blanca, lime, passionfruit, Campari and yuzu syrup, the team will also be serving up a Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri to beat the heat and the Oriente Oro, a decadent cocktail balancing notes of dark fruits and chocolate.

The March Hare| 316-318 King’s Rd, London SW3 5UH

Silk Stockings| 80 Dalston Ln, London E8 3AH

Dalston hot-spot, Silk Stockings, is introducing three new cocktails to its menu. The Cuban Breeze – with Ron Santiago de Cuba™ Carta Blanca, fresh mint, lime, coconut and a syrup liqueur – Mandarin Daiquiri and Santiago Orchard using the Añejo 11-year-old, Licor43, cloudy apple juice, lime and soda, will be available in July only.

Homeboy Bar| 108 Essex Rd, London N1 8LX

The speakeasy bar’s limited-edition menu will be bringing its Irish charm to Daiquiri Day. The menu, aptly named ‘Fancy a Daiquiri? Ah sure go on then!’, will feature rum-based cocktails inspired by commonly used Irish phrases, like the Go Figure – smooth and comforting, featuring notes of dried fruit, ginger spice and a gentle sweetness.

The Cocktail Trading Co | 20th July – 2nd August

Award-winning bar, the Cocktail Trading Co, will be marking Daiquiri Day with three bespoke Ron Santiago de Cuba™ cocktails. There will be a Classic Daiquiri for the purists, a ‘Solero’ Ice Cream Milk Punch for a sweet and refreshing take and finally a riff on a Corn N Oil for those on the adventurous side.

The story goes that the Daiquiri was born in 1898 near Santiago de Cuba, when American mining engineer Jennings Cobb, caught short of his usual gin, mixed local rum with lime and sugar to christen what would become one of the world’s great three-ingredient cocktails. He named it after the nearby town and mining settlement of Daiquiri. It’s a drink that’s been simplified, frozen, fruited-up and fought over by purists ever since, but the bones have never changed: good rum, fresh lime, a touch of sugar.

Rum is having a moment of its own. UK on-trade rum sales surpassed £1 billion for the first time in 2025*, even overtaking whisky sales in pubs and bars, proof that Brits have well and truly fallen for rum, and there’s no better excuse to put that to the test than a month dedicated to its most famous serve.
