Final homes handed over to new owners at landmark Nine Elms development

Bellway London’s landmark Lexington Gardens development in Nine Elms is now complete following the handover of the final homes.
Lexington Gardens forms part of the housebuilder’s wider flagship scheme off Ponton Road, which, along with The Residence, has delivered a total of 516 apartments, alongside commercial space and residents’ facilities.
The development features a gym, meeting suite, residents’ media lounge and concierge service, plus rooftop and podium level gardens.
Emma Hamlett, Sales Director for Bellway London, said: “We have now welcomed the final new owners to their new homes at Lexington Gardens, which is now complete after six years of construction work in Nine Elms.
“Lexington Gardens is part of the £15 billion Nine Elms regeneration project that is rapidly transforming this Zone 1 location, as well as attracting a new community of residents and businesses.
“People buying here love the fact that Lexington Gardens is conveniently located next to the new Nine Elms Underground Station which opened in 2021, and which has further added to the appeal of this prestigious development of luxury new homes.
“We have played a key role in helping to transform Nine Elms, as well as delivering much-needed housing for the area.
“Additionally, production company Chocolate Films has moved into the commercial space within the development, highlighting how Bellway is helping to create a vibrant new neighbourhood in this part of London.”
Part of this thriving new community is couple Chris and Sarah Alexander, who have purchased a two-bedroom apartment at Lexington Gardens as a second home, to be closer to their daughter.
The couple have retained their home in Yarm, North Yorkshire so they can get, “the best of both worlds”.
Chris said: “It is great being nearer to Gatwick and Heathrow, which means we don’t have to do the five-hour drive back after a long flight. We are hoping we can use this as a base to travel around the South of England and use the Eurotunnel to explore France.
“From the outset we had both decided we wanted a brand-new property within central London. We had looked at two developments in Nine Elms as we wanted to have easy access to where our daughter, Olivia is in Colindale. As soon as we looked around the show apartment at Lexington Gardens, we liked what we saw.”
Bellway London began work in Nine Elms on The Residence in 2016 before moving on to Lexington Gardens in 2019.
The housebuilder is delivering new homes at various locations across the capital, including developments in Sydenham, Stratford, Beckton, Bexleyheath and Hornchurch.
