HARLEQUINS CONTINUE TO CHAMPION WOMEN’S SPORT AS THEY TAKE ON BRISTOL BEARS IN THE GAME CHANGER FIXTURE

as the annual The Game Changer match returns to The Stoop in Twickenham with exhilarating rugby and affordable fun for all the family.

Harlequins Rugby Club has led the way in promoting Women’s Club rugby in this country, with the bold innovation of The Game Changer fixture against Gloucester-Hartpury in March 2019 which set a new attendance record for Women’s club rugby, with 4,837 supporters attending the inaugural event.

Now in its fifth instalment and a celebrating all things women’s rugby, this year’s landmark Game Changer fixture follows in a long line of record-breaking games for the women’s team including most recently Big Game 15 in December last year, with a whopping 16,237 fans filling Twickenham Stadium for the Christmas cracker.

It has been a pulsating season in the Allianz Premiership and with the league’s penultimate fixture set to get heart’s racing as Harlequins Women take on rivals Bristol Bears as part of an action-packed day. The match will be hotly contested, with both teams boasting international stars and renowned for their exhilarating, attacking styles of play.

The day will be fun for all the family, with a variety of matchday activities including mascots, food and beverage concessions, the North Fan Village open with games and face painting, and much more.

Commenting on the return of The Game Changer and her team’s clash with Bristol Bears, Jade Konkel, Harlequins Women’s Club Captain and Scotland Number 8 said: “It feels great to be returning to The Stoop for this year’s The Game Changer fixture, the team are training hard and cannot wait to feed on the excitement and energy of the crowd”
