Così fan tutte, selected dates to Saturday 16 March 2019

Jan Philipp Gloger’s Olivier Award-nominated production of Così fan tutte returns to The Royal Opera House for its first revival. The witty and theatrical staging sets the action of Mozart’s opera in a working theatre, where the central characters are taken on a role-playing journey to explore the true meaning of love. Internationally renowned British baritone Thomas Allen returns to the Royal Opera House, close to 50 years after his 1971 Covent Garden debut, to perform the role of Don Alfonso.

Frankenstein, Tuesday 5 – Saturday 23 March

Liam Scarlett’s adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic Gothic novel Frankenstein returns to the Royal Opera House this March. Created for The Royal Ballet in 2016, the ballet was Scarlett’s first full-length work for the Company.

La forza del destino, Thursday 21 March – Monday 22 April 2019

Christof Loy directs a star-studded cast of singers, including Anna Netrebko, Jonas Kaufmann and Ludovic Tézier, in Verdi’s epic opera, conducted by Antonio Pappano.
