Le Cordon Bleu Reflects on a Landmark Year Celebrating 130 Years
As 2025 draws to a close, Le Cordon Bleu reflects on a landmark year marking 130 years of culinary arts and hospitality education, celebrated through a series of events and initiatives across its global network.
Founded in Paris in 1895, Le Cordon Bleu’s anniversary year brought together its international community of students, alumni, Master Chefs and partners to recognise the institute’s enduring influence on gastronomy and hospitality, while also looking ahead to the future of the industry.
Throughout the year, celebrations took place across Le Cordon Bleu campuses worldwide. From a projection of Le Cordon Bleu’s mission on one of the world’s most iconic monuments in Rio de Janeiro, to gala dinners hosted in New Zealand and China, alumni gatherings in Malaysia and London, 130th Anniversary Soirées in Ottawa and Madrid, and opportunities to reconnect with former students to celebrate their successful careers, the anniversary was marked in diverse and meaningful ways across continents.

The anniversary year also reflected Le Cordon Bleu’s continued commitment to education, with ongoing development of professional programmes, continuing education, short courses and culinary experiences designed to respond to the changing needs of the hospitality sector worldwide.
As Le Cordon Bleu moves beyond its 130th year, the focus remains firmly on nurturing the next generation of culinary and hospitality professionals, while celebrating the global community that has shaped the institute’s legacy.
