Northumbrian Water Group scoops top national honour at UK quality “Oscars”…

Northumbrian Water Group, of which Essex & Suffolk Water is part of, is celebrating after overcoming competition from some of the biggest names in industry to claim victory at one of the UK’s most prestigious awards ceremonies.

The water company scooped the UK Excellence Award 2018 – one of the highest accolades any business can achieve – at the British Quality Foundation (BQF) UK Excellence Awards.

HRH The Princess Royal and patron of BQF was guest of honour at the event and presented NWG with the award.

The firm was also given a special double commendation by the jury for both of its ‘Rainwise’ and ‘Every Drop Counts’ schemes in the Innovation in Sustainability and Society category.

Heidi Mottram, Chief Executive of Northumbrian Water Group (NWG), said: “I am absolutely thrilled that Northumbrian Water Group and our incredible people have been recognised with these awards.

Attended by global organisations, business leaders, entrepreneurs and charities, The BQF Awards was held at the Guildhall in the City of London last night (Thursday March 15, 2018).
