Nova Growth Capital announces investment into serialised novels platform with all female founding team.

Liverpool based venture builder, Nova, has announced a £195k investment into Resurgence Novels, an episodical, online book platform that releases new chapters on a regular cadence.

The startup will provide avid readers with quality content from some of the world’s best serialised authors. New chapters will be released each week, with authors being rewarded fairly for their contributions along with their work being edited before publication – currently a major issue in the sector.

Heather Mae Linton, published author and co-founder of Resurgence Novels pitched the concept to Nova’s investment panel in January and won them over with her experience and passion to improve the quality of the content.

She said “We’re delighted to have received investment from Nova and are keen to get started building our platform and promoting the fantastic authors we have waiting in the wings. I’ve worked in this sector for many years and one of the biggest problems is quality of content and fairness of pay for authors. Our platform promises to solve these issues by editing content before publication and paying authors fairly for their work.”

Each month, readers can access a wide range of novels with a monthly subscription. They will be provided with tokens that they can spend on the novels they like as well as engage and connect with other readers on the platform.

Nova’s Chief Growth Officer Olivia Greenberg, who is part of the investment committee at the venture builder is delighted with the decision to invest. She said,

Nova Growth Capital’s investment not only includes capital but the expertise of the venture building team which will be deployed to build and market the platform. The founders at Resurgence Novels will have access to Nova’s product developers, marketing team, videographers, business mentors and much more.
