QUALITY TIME WITH FRIENDS IS TOP OF THE WISH LIST FOR BRITS THIS CHRISTMAS
MORE THAN 1 in 3 (36%) Brits are most looking forward to spending quality time with their mates this Christmas, according to a new study.
A survey of 1,006 UK adults from One4all Gift Cards, has revealed that 24% of Brits say heading out for a Christmas meal and catching up is top of the priority list, while nearly 1 in 5 (15%) are excited to share gifts with their pals.
Looking at how Brits splash the cash at Christmas and treat their friends, a heart-warming 63% will buy them gifts, while 40% will treat them to their favourite tipple on a night out.
The survey further reveals how generous we are when it comes to gifting their mates, with gifts for friends most commonly costing Brits £15 – £20 each.
Women are the more generous gifters when it comes to buying presents, as a whopping 68% buy gifts, compared to 58% of men. Nevertheless, men are more lavish spenders when on a night out, as 49% will buy their friends drinks, compared to only 31% of women.
32% of Brits say their friends put a lot of thought into their Christmas gifts. When it comes to receiving gifts, 26% say friends choose better gifts for them than family, whilst nearly 1 in 4 say their pals buy them funny or jokey Christmas gifts.
