Veganuary: Kick back with brand new vegan wine and chocolate!

There’s no better way to relax after a long evening than sitting on the sofa with a delicious chocolate and a smooth tasting wine, and now vegans can join in too, guilt free of course!

In the spirit of the upcoming Veganuary, Giftsonline4U have launched a brand new vegan and environmentally friendly chocolate and wine gift package.

Bordeaux wine and dark chocolate with three flavours to choose from makes the perfect gift for your vegan loved ones with the option to add a special personalised message on the pewter label.

Choose from three vegan chocolate flavours; organic dark chocolate, raspberry crisp and toasted coconut.

But what makes wine vegan?

During the wine making process, the liquid is filtered through substances called “fining agents?” This process is used to remove protein, yeast, cloudiness, “off” flavours and colourings, and other organic particles. Animal based fining agents used in the production of wine include blood and bone marrow, casein, chitin, egg albumen, fish oil, gelatine, and isinglass. If these are used the wine becomes non-vegan.

Fortunately, there are fining agents that are animal-friendly and used to make vegan wine. Carbon, bentonite clay, limestone, kaolin clay, plant casein, silica gel, and vegetable plaques are all suitable alternatives.
