It’s been a long and difficult year with a whopping 95% of Brits saying they are stressed, due to work (43%), money (49%), relationships and family (40%) as well as their physical health (28%). But music has been there for us this entire year whether it’s listening to your favourite playlists whilst; working from home, studying, doing your workouts or finding those tunes that get you through the daily house chores.

It has been found that listening to quality sounding music can really fix it all with it even being able to support our health. 65% say music has made a bigger impact on their fitness than any supplement, 68% say if they’re thinking about skipping a workout, music can help get them started and 61% say it makes them feel more confident around others whilst working out.

The recent survey commissioned by ultimate wireless home sound system Sonos has revealed that listening to quality sounding music is essential to human connection.
Especially as we are currently stuck at home again, 68% say that music can connect their family and even ease any tension or arguments that may be brewing in their household (74%).

When it comes to getting intimate, the survey has shown that quality sounding music can intensify our intimate moments with 59% agreeing that the right music can make sex much better and over half (55%) say that it even makes them much more adventurous in bed! Yet only 16% have taken the plunge and created their own cheeky playlist.

Helping us be smarter and more creative, 69% of people turn to music as the muse that helps them think of new ideas when stuck and 75% say listening to music inspires them to do their best work. As a nation of coffee drinkers, Brits say listening to music helps them get more done than drinking coffee (68% vs 32%).

It also turns out it really is quality over quantity, with over eight in 10 (82%) saying they are more likely to listen to a song to the end when the sound quality is great while eight in 10 say that a great sound system can make or break a party. 71% even say a high-quality sound system has changed the way they feel about a song.
