Mental health flick The Valley gets premiere in London
Last Friday marked the world premiere of mental health flick The Valley, the premiere was held at The Courthouse Hotel in London.
The event was attended by industry heavyweights including filmaker Patrick Ryder, author Sunny Angel, actor Alyy Khan, Suchitra Pillai and director Saila Kariat.
The Valley is a film which is about an immigrant entrepreneur living in Silicon Valley who was devastated by his daughters suicide and seeks answers to what caused it. In the course of this journey he learns many things about himself and his own choices.
Summing up proceedings on the night director Saila Kariat was presented with a Best Woman Director by actress Joanna Andr who is the chief executive of Essex TV.
Mental health campaigner and actor Oli Regan joined the proceedings taking part in a Q&A, the event organised by Mark Busby of Film Volt was hailed a success.
