Neneh Cherry and i-D celebrate 30 years of ‘Raw Like Sushi’ at The London EDITION
This evening in the Penthouse at The London EDITION, Neneh Cherry joined forces with i-D magazine to celebrate 30 years of her landmark debut album Raw like Sushi with a cocktail reception and screening.
Guests from across the fashion, arts and music worlds such as Edie Campbell, Clara Amfo and Grace Carter came together to celebrate the iconic debut album 30 years on, slated for re-release on 31st January 2020. Guests were also treated to the premiere of the re-released ‘Buffalo Stance’ music video directed by Stephen Isaac-Wilson and Dick Jewell’s original 1990 documentary ‘Rise of Neneh Cherry’ that played on screens for guests to enjoy over a cocktail.
Revellers enjoyed Bacardi and Tequila Patron cocktails especially crafted by the award-winning bar team at The London EDITION. The Palomina cocktail is made from Patron Silver, RinQuinquin, Gomme, Grapefruit juice, lime juice, soda water and the Mai Tini cocktail is made from Mai Tini: Bacardi 4, Martini Fiero, Gomme, Pineapple Juice, Lime Juice, Angostura.
Neneh Cherry’s landmark debut album, Raw Like Sushi has been remastered at Abbey Road and will be released in super deluxe format across 3CD and 3LP heavyweight vinyl box sets, as well as in special edition alternative gold vinyl and digital formats, and CD and LP formats on 31 January 2020 via Virgin and UMC.
