Crémant de Loire is a wonderful way to commence the celebrations, whether for a garden party, BBQ or picnic in the park or simply for sipping on the sofa with fromage and baguette. It’s elegant, refined and brings a real sense of occasion – without the Champagne price tag.
Lesser known but up there with sparkling wines you should have on your radar, is Vouvray Brut. Made using Chenin Blanc grapes, the dry sparkling wine is also made in the Champagne method and is a real foodie wine as it’s great paired with cheeses, charcuterie boards, salmon and salads.
