Fun at Yapton Summer Fair continues in 2022 thanks to donation from housebuilder

Yapton Summer Fair has received a donation from local housebuilder Dandara, who is building new homes at its nearby development in Paddock View, Yapton. The fair took place on Saturday the 13th of August on Yapton Playing field at 1pm.

Organised by the Yapton and District Cottage Gardeners Society, the fair has been running for over 100 years and originally started as a flower and produce show, but has recently expanded to include the addition of more attractions. Dandara’s donation has gone towards banners that will greet those visiting the fair.

As part of the fun-filled day, there will be a number of shows including the flower and produce show as well as a dog show hosted by Littlehampton Dog Training club. Attendees will be able to buy food and refreshments and see a variety of stalls which range from showcasing local businesses to a classic car display. There will also be live music from a ukulele band and a performance from local dance club ‘Dance Ed’.

Alice Duckworth, Organiser at Yapton Summer Fair, added: “As we are a small community run show, donations big and small make such a huge difference to our events. The traditional flower and produce show provides the perfect backdrop for the dog show, stalls and all the other attractions that make our event a fantastic afternoon for the whole family. We are hugely grateful to Dandara for their sponsorship which enables us to invest in promoting the fair to the surrounding villages.”

Nicki Dennis, Sales and Marketing Director at Dandara Southern, commented: “Events such as these play such a vital role in the community and provide a great platform for local businesses to get involved in the area. With our Paddock View development nearby, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to make a small contribution towards Yapton Summer Fair with our branded banners. We hope that everyone has a wonderful day at the fair!”

Dandara is currently selling its new homes at Paddock View in Yapton, close to where Yapton Summer Fair will be taking place, where a collection of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes are available. Prices start from £420,000 for a three-bedroom home.
