GB NEWS PRESENTER ISABEL WEBSTER PAYS TRIBUTE TO ABSENT CO-STAR EAMONN HOLMES AT TV CHOICE AWARDS

ISABEL Webster said she was “gutted” her co-presenter Eamonn Holmes was unable to join her on the red-carpet at this year’s TV Choice Awards.
The GB News Breakfast host was due to be joined by her Irish co-presenter at this evening’s (MONDAY) star studded event at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
But the 62-year-old TV veteran suffered a fall last month while he was at home in Surrey recovering from an operation on his back.
Isabel, who stepped on to the red-carpet for tonight’s awards wearing a stunning Isabella Kristensen dress, said: “It’s great to be able to be a part of these awards celebrating the very best of British TV. We’ve so much to be proud of. The industry went two years without being able to come to awards like this due to Covid, so it’s fantastic to be able to get back to normality.
“But yes there’s a bit of sadness on my part too, because Eamonn was due to be here tonight with me. He’s still recovering from his accident so was unable to make it.
“I’ve promised I’ll send him a few pictures and let him know any gossip. I’m missing him loads, and everyone at GB News is looking forward to having Eamonn back soon.”
Next month marks a year since Isabel and Eamonn launched their Breakfast programme on GB News. Isabel said it’s been a “fantastic journey”.
“Breakfast TV isn’t always easy,” she admitted. “The early mornings never get any easier….late nights are rare for me!
“But I’ve loved every minute. of my time so far on GB News. We try to put our viewers at the heart of everything we do, and I’m so proud of the relationship we’ve created with our audience in such a short space of time. We have a wonderful team, and the most exciting thing is that we’re just getting started.”
Jo Brand is hosting tonight’s awards in London. Last year’s ceremony saw BBC’s hit police drama Line Of Duty lead the winners after scooping three awards for Best Drama Series, Best Actor and Best Actress.
Coronation Street and Bridgerton were also among the victorious TV shows.
