Help Double the Impact: The Kenilworth Centre Launches Match Funding Campaign to Raise £10,000 for Local Community Services
The Kenilworth Centre is calling on local residents, businesses and supporters to help strengthen community services by donating to its new Match Funding Campaign, where your donations will be doubled, meaning every pound raised will go twice as far.
Thanks to the generosity of a private supporter of The Kenilworth Centre, every donation made during the campaign will be matched pound-for-pound up to a total value of £5,000. This means that if the community can raise £5,000, the donor will contribute a further £5,000, creating a combined fundraising total of £10,000 from a single campaign.
The independent charity relies on income from room hire, grants and donations to continue its work. the Kenilworth Centre welcomes around 1300 people through the doors every week and income generated from room hire serves to support only 60% of the funds required to keep the Kenilworth Centre open. Which why we need your support.
Through this special Match Funding Campaign, supporters have a unique opportunity to make an even bigger difference, with donations being matched to maximise their impact.
Sarah McCaffrey at The Kenilworth Centre, said:
“The Kenilworth Centre belongs to the whole community. Every week we see the positive difference our services make to young people, families and residents who may otherwise feel isolated, unsupported or overwhelmed with the cost of living. This match funding campaign gives our supporters an incredible opportunity to double their impact and help us continue providing these services.”
The Centre delivers a broad range of activities for local people, including:
Youth Provision: – Youth Club / Youth Courses/ Mentoring/ Counselling/ Pathway to Work
Community Hubs: Pop-up Café/ Rain or Shine Playgroup/ Sunday Dinner Hub/ Radio Abbey
Recording Studios and Radio: Community Radio / Recording Studio / Courses and Clubs
Room Hire: Affordable spaces for local businesses, groups and charities
Funds raised through the campaign will help ensure these programmes can continue to grow and remain accessible to those who need them most.
Community members are encouraged to donate, share the campaign with friends and family, and help spread the word across Kenilworth and the surrounding area.
