A year of free travel for first-time buyers from Notting Hill Genesis

Leading housing association Notting Hill Genesis is helping buyers make the most of London living with the offer of a free year of travel across the capital when purchasing a home at its popular development in east London.

Buyers who reserve a one-bedroom apartment at Woolwich Reach will receive one Transport for London travelcard for zones 1-4, valid for a whole year, with an annual value of £2,340.*

The free travelcard will help buyers cover the cost of commuting, as well as giving them a way to explore all that the city has to offer on the weekends. The incentive is available until Tuesday 4 April, so potential buyers must act quickly to take advantage.

On the banks of the river Thames, Woolwich Reach offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments available to buy through Shared Ownership, a scheme in which first-time buyers purchase a percentage share of a property – from 25 per cent – and pay a subsidised rent on the remainder, enabling them to buy their own home with a lower deposit than if purchasing at full market value.

One-bedroom apartments start from £95,000 for a 25 per cent share.

The contemporary apartments come fully equipped with integrated kitchen appliances, including an oven, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. As well as solid stone worktops and fitted wardrobes in bedrooms, there is energy-efficient underfloor heating, with wood effect flooring in living areas and luxury-feel carpets.

The homes are open-plan, and have private balconies offering views across the river or Royal Victoria Gardens, while providing the perfect, private outdoor space. There are also convenient amenities in the development such as cycle storage.

Residents can use their free travelcard to benefit from the development’s excellent connections – with trains into central London within half an hour from nearby King George V DLR station, just a five-minute walk from the development, as well as via the Elizabeth line in Woolwich. For shopping lovers, Westfield Stratford and Canary Wharf are less than half an hour away, while locations such as Oxford Street can be reached in under an hour. Residents can also explore wider south east London by bus, with locations such as Greenwich in easy reach.

Nearby, residents can enjoy leafy surroundings at neighbouring Royal Victoria Gardens, the Thames Barrier Park and Greenwich Park, just a half-hour bike ride away on local cycle routes.

Philip Wellard-Hughes, head of sales at Notting Hill Genesis, said: “We’re pleased to be offering this unmissable deal for those buying at Woolwich Reach this month. Residents can make use of the development’s excellent transport connections to explore the best that London has to offer, as well as saving money on their commute”.
