Project manager wins Seal of Excellence for new homes in Greenwich

A project manager who led the construction of homes at Bellway London’s The River Gardens development in Greenwich has won a coveted Pride in the Job Seal of Excellence Award.
Jason Spink, 52, is one of just nine winners of the award in the capital this year, presented by the National House Building Council (NHBC) at its London regional awards ceremony held in September.
The Seal of Excellence is the second stage of the Pride in the Job Awards, with Jason being among 442 site managers across the country picked for a Quality Award in the first stage of this year’s competition.
He won the award for the high standards of construction and site safety at The River Gardens, located off Banning Street, where Bellway London has finished construction of 278 new apartments next to the River Thames.
Jason said: “I was very pleased to hear that our development had been selected for the Seal of Excellence because it is the first time I have been nominated for this award and to go on and win one was an immensely proud and satisfying moment for me and my team – and it is also the perfect way to cap off the completion of all our construction work at this site.
“Every single member of our team here has worked incredibly hard to ensure that our customers receive a truly well-built home to live in.
“This award could not have been secured without their hard work and dedication, so I am very grateful for the support I have been given by all our Bellway colleagues involved in this development over the last 18 months.
“Much of the credit for this award must also go to our Site Manager, Nicolae Marius Cocos, Assistant site manager Dean Macaree and our Contracts Manager, Daniel Gray, because their meticulous attention to detail made this award achievable.
“Our divisional management also gave us the right tools, the right materials, and enough time to build the best homes we can create. That is why we have always had everything we needed to maintain the high standards of quality that we have set for ourselves at Bellway.”
Construction Director for Bellway London, John Haggerstone, said: “It is fitting to see Jason win the Seal of Excellence Award this year just as the construction work at The River Gardens has been completed.
“His performance has been exemplary ever since he started working at this development in August 2020 and we offer him and everybody in his team our heartiest congratulations.
“Together they have continued to deliver excellent homes and so it is great to see their efforts being duly recognised by the NHBC.”
